A faith-based organization founded to address gender inequality and empower young Black girls across Africa to live out their biggest dreams.

Girls Work It Together (GWIT) is a faith-based organization founded to address prevalent gender inequality and social issues in Nigeria and across Africa.
We are dedicated to advancing the holistic growth of young Black girls in Africa and its diaspora. Our mission is to foster their comprehensive development in mental, physical, spiritual, and academic health.
At Girls Work It Together, we believe in empowering young girls to achieve their full potential, providing them with the tools and support needed to break through societal barriers. Our organization is committed to creating a nurturing environment where these young girls can flourish and overcome challenges.

An average African girl is restricted by societal disparities, limiting her intellectual curiosities and promoting constant exposure to physical and mental abuse.

Work It Together is dedicated to nurturing the comprehensive development of young Black girls globally. Our mission is rooted in advocacy for faith, mental health, physical well-being, academic and leadership mentorship, and the promotion of self-care initiatives and awareness.
We aspire to create a sanctuary for young Black girls, empowering them to explore, discover, and evolve into their best versions. Our programs and initiatives aim to inspire confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose, ultimately contributing to a generation of empowered and thriving young Black girls.
A holistic approach to empowering young girls through comprehensive support and advocacy.
GWIT gives every girl a voice, liberating them through mental health awareness via blogs, podcasts, and rural community outreach.

GWIT fosters inquisitiveness through academic scholarships, seminars, book clubs, and mentorships.

GWIT sheds light on health disparities faced by the girl child, including period poverty, cervical and breast cancer, and high maternal mortality.

Our unique approach combines faith, community, and holistic development.
